AI poses new challenges to cybersecurity

Autonomous systems that are capable of making decisions and taking action with minimal human oversight, the so-called Agentic AI, are creating unprecedented cybersecurity challenges for enterprises, according to »Forbes«. 

A new UiPath report shows that 56 percent of enterprise leaders now rank security as their top concern, and the research and advisory company Gartner warns that over 40 percent of agentic AI projects may be scrapped by 2027 due to weak governance. Major tech players including Cisco, Microsoft, Google, and IBM are responding with purpose-built security architectures, zero-trust frameworks, and AI-powered threat detection.

Experts say that the future success of companies will depend on security systems that are as fast and adaptive as the Agentic AI they protect.
